Level 2: Handsprings Class

Welcome to the Level 2 Tumbling: Handsprings class! In this class, we will focus on mastering intermediate tumbling skills with specific focus on level 2 cheer tumbling skills like front handsprings, back handsprings, dive rolls, round-offs and more. Athletes will continue to develop stronger technique in basics like handstands and walkovers. Once athletes have acquired skills, we will work on connecting level 2 tumbling skills for longer tumbling passes. Our experienced coaches will guide you through step-by-step drills and progressions to help you build strength, flexibility, and technique.

Before joining, athletes must have completed our Level 1 tumbling class or demonstrate the ability to perform a front walkover + cartwheel + backwalkover with good form and back walkover + back walkover without assistance on the spring floor. Athletes in this class are assessed on a monthly basis for new skills and possible class promotion. Athletes who can complete all the following individual skills: back handsprings, front handsprings, round-offs, and diver rolles AND can connect 2+ level 2 standing skills and 3+ level 2 running skills with strong technique and timing, will be promoted to the Level 3: Tuckss class.
